Term 1

A very warm welcome to the children who have joined Seedlings and Sunflower class this term. During the next few weeks, we look forward to getting to know each other and for the children to become familiar with our routines. 

Please look out for weekly updates and termly information displayed on class room windows. 

If your child attends Sunflower class, you will need to get a red bookbag from the school uniform shop. 

All of the children need a bag containing a packet of wipes and a change of clothes. Remember warm jackets for cold days and sun hats for sunny days. 

We have had such a busy and fun term in Sunflower Class. We have been learning about Autumn time and Harvest. We have talked about Ourselves and have recited lots of different Nursery Rhymes. 

We have played in our garden every day and have been looking for signs of Autumn. Mrs Ritson's pet African snail came to visit us and for Black History Month, we spoke about an American President called Barack Obama. 

We baked yummy oaty cookies for snack and made strawberry milkshakes too!

Term 2

Welcome to Term 2 in Sunflower Class. This term we will be talking about "Night Time" and what we celebrate at this time of year - Bonfire Night, Diwali and Christmas. We'll look at images of London landmarks including the Cenotaph and make a poppy wreath for Remembrance Day. 

We look forward to our grown ups visiting for two "Stay and Play" mornings and also to watch us performing our wonderful Christmas play.
