Black History Month
We celebrated Black History Month by celebrating the achievements of Jean-Michel Basquiat. He was an artist in the USA who sadly dies in 1988 when he was just 27 years old. He was best known for his graffiti artwork.
We created our own portraits in the style of Jean-Michel using pastels.
DT
In DT we have been exploring mechanisms, particularly looking at levers and linkages. We designed and made cards for a friend or family member.
Science
Our topic in science this term is sound. We have been exploring how we can change the pitch of a sound using instruments.
Science
To end our topic of sound, we learnt about the famous scientist Alexandra Graham Bell and his inventions. We made and experimented talking cups. We investigated how sound travels quicker through a solid than air.
