Parent Meet and Greet Meeting

On Thursday 11^th September 2025 we held a meeting for all Year 2 parents where we shared the presentation linked below:

PE Days

In Year 2 our classes do PE on the following days:

Please ensure all Year 2 children are wearing school PE kit to school on these days.

Reading

In Year 2, we are passionate about reading and using our Read Write Inc phonics to help us. We read every day in school and encourage you to listen to your child read at least three times a week. Remember to sign reading diaries so that Dojo points can be awarded in school.

Please also read to your child books out of their phonics range to develop a love of reading and extend their vocabulary.

Spellings

In Year 2 we send home spellings weekly for children to practise. Most of our spellings are based on the Year 1 and Year 2 Common Exception Words lists which you can find below:
